Great value accommodation with peaceful setting right by the old town, museums, the park, town hall, things to see, and the train station and main square. Reasonably large room with view of garden from the window. Excellent staff throughout.

The room here is nicely equipped and has a unique high ceiling, all of this only for £70.

We got a room with a bath. Exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows, there were a sofa bed, central heating, and a work desk available.

The front desk staff were excellent, polite, efficient and friendly. The location is excellent and had no trouble with parking. The rooms were very quiet and the breakfast room comfortable and the experience enjoyable.

Always prefer to have bar fridge anad tea/coffee making facilities in the room. However the room service was inexpensive and very prompt.

The room here is tidy with a high ceiling, and the location is great, just 3 km away from a large mosque.

That hotel was modest, the rooms were nicely equipped and beds were comfy. It was an unbeatable and convenient location walk from a train station. The place had a family atmosphere.

The furniture was too old, the bad was making weird sounds whenever I move. The furniture needs definitely to be changed. €69 is too much for that room. But I'm not sure if all the rooms are the same.

Very nice atmosphere, with helpfull relaxed staff, we had several laptops along and a extra free wifi card wasn't a problem.

The hotel was a lovely place for enjoying a local area, right by city centre, everything: mall, restaurants, tram station, museum, and walking distance from the station. The room was compact and quiet, plus the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Also, location was good, at a short distance from Valenciennes Town Hall...

The location was marvellous and stunning, close enough to everything: mall, restaurants, tram station, museum. the rooms were neat, unique, came with very high ceiling. Rewritten: The Brit Hotel Notre Dame in Valenciennes has a fantastic location, so convenient with everything nearby such as a mall, restaurants, tram station, and museum. the rooms are tidy and charming, and have very high ceilings.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful.

It would have been nice to have a restaurant to give an alternative to going out during bad weather.
